Com Nelson Baskerville, na atua\u00e7\u00e3o e dire\u00e7\u00e3o, Maria Manoella e Virginia Cavendish.<\/p>\n

Mem\u00f3ria e desejo conduzem as a\u00e7\u00f5es do personagem principal de O Rio<\/i>, o Homem<\/i> – um solit\u00e1rio recluso, que esconde uma profunda tristeza, e que escolheu depositar todas as suas emo\u00e7\u00f5es em uma atividade de lazer que considera sublime: pescar trutas. Longe de ser um hino \u00e0 natureza, O Rio <\/i>retrata a solid\u00e3o enraizada de um homem que subordinou sua busca pelo amor perfeito ao ritual da pesca. A cada nova namorada, o Homem compartilha com elas seu hobbie<\/i> predileto.<\/p>\n

\u00c9 nesta atmosfera de suspense que a trama se desenvolve de forma n\u00e3o-linear, com forte entona\u00e7\u00e3o psicodram\u00e1tica, embora fique a cargo do espectador desvendar o car\u00e1ter de cada personagem e se est\u00e1 diante de uma hist\u00f3ria de realidade fant\u00e1stica, de suspense g\u00f3tico ou de uma par\u00e1bola.<\/p>\n

Foram cinco anos o tempo do momento em que Virginia entrou em contato com o texto at\u00e9 conseguir realizar a produ\u00e7\u00e3o. \u201c Desde 2012 tenho vontade de mostrar ao p\u00fablico o trabalho deste dramaturgo contempor\u00e2neo bastante reconhecido e pouco montado no Brasil. Jezz Butterworth escreveu uma pe\u00e7a peculiar sobre a arte de pescar, sobre o tempo, o amor e nossa eterna busca pelo inef\u00e1vel. Aquilo que nos faz tremer os joelhos\u201d, diz Virginia que al\u00e9m de atuar, produz o espet\u00e1culo.<\/p>\n

\u201cO Rio <\/i>\u00e9 um espet\u00e1culo sobre a natureza, o homem, seus atavismos e movimentos c\u00edclicos; sobre o tempo (porque o tempo \u00e9 tamb\u00e9m natureza) e nossas buscas incessantes sobre o sentido disso tudo, completa Baskerville, diretor e ator da pe\u00e7a.<\/p>\n

O Rio<\/i> estreou em Londres, em 2012, com grande sucesso de cr\u00edtica e p\u00fablico. Em 2014, fez temporada em Nova York, tendo o ator Hugh Jackman como protagonista. No Brasil, dois de seus textos foram encenados; Mojo <\/i>e Tudo est\u00e1 desaparecendo.<\/i> \u00a0O Rio<\/i> \u00e9 o terceiro texto do dramaturgo que ganha montagem in\u00e9dita no pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n

Sinopse<\/strong>
\nHomem leva sua nova namorada, chamada Mulher, para um fim de semana em uma cabana isolada \u00e0 beira de um rio. Homem \u00e9 um pescador dedicado que sai em busca de trutas do mar que s\u00f3 podem ser capturadas uma vez por ano. Trata-se de uma noite \u00fanica e a capacidade de Homem em compartilhar seu entusiasmo com Mulher torna-se um teste moral para o personagem.<\/p>\n

N\u00e3o demora muito para que Mulher desapare\u00e7a misteriosamente. Ele chama a pol\u00edcia, mas ela reaparece completamente diferente. Esta \u201cnova mulher\u201d \u00e9 chamada A Outra Mulher. Ao longo do desenrolar da trama, as duas mulheres ora aparecem ora somem, como se trocassem de lugar, o que instiga o espectador sobre o que \u00e9, de fato, real ou imaginado pelo Homem.
