S\u00edmbolo do Movimento Antropof\u00e1gico de Oswald de Andrade, O Rei da Vela ganhou em abril uma montagem hil\u00e1ria dos Parlapat\u00f5es, em comemora\u00e7\u00e3o aos 27 anos da trupe. Com adapta\u00e7\u00e3o de Hugo Possolo e dire\u00e7\u00e3o musical de Fernanda Maia, o 64\u00ba trabalho do grupo reestreia no Espa\u00e7o Parlapat\u00f5es, entre 26 de maio e 15 de julho, com sess\u00f5es \u00e0s sextas e s\u00e1bados, \u00e0s 21h, e aos domingos, \u00e0s 19h.<\/p>\n

O elenco \u00e9 composto pelos atores: Hugo Possolo, Camila Turim, Alexandre Bamba, Nando Bolognesi, Fernanda Maia, Tadeu Pinheiro, Fernando Fecchio, Conrado Sardinha, Fernanda Zaborowsky, Renata Versolato, Daniel Lotoy.<\/p>\n

A encena\u00e7\u00e3o enfatiza o car\u00e1ter burlesco e festivo da obra, em clima de cabar\u00e9 abrasileirado, com forte influ\u00eancia das linguagens do Teatro de Revista, do Circo e do Teatro \u00c9pico de Bertolt Brecht. \u201cO Rei da Vela \u00e9 tamb\u00e9m um projeto de encena\u00e7\u00e3o que recoloca o grupo diante da sua expressividade popular e cria um circo-teatro provocativo, desprendido do melodrama, para se lan\u00e7ar sobre um car\u00e1ter \u00e9pico que busca a festa e alegria como prova dos nove\u201d, explica o diretor.<\/p>\n

Como j\u00e1 \u00e9 marca registrada dos Parlapat\u00f5es, os atores saem de seus personagens e se comunicam diretamente com o p\u00fablico. Um narrador que representa o pr\u00f3prio Oswald (personagem do ator Nando Bolognesi), conduz a plateia pela po\u00e9tica do autor, deixando expostas algumas rubricas originais do texto e jogando com a narrativa.<\/p>\n

O espet\u00e1culo narra a saga de Abelardo I (personagem de Hugo Possolo), um agiota inescrupuloso que ganhou muito dinheiro em v\u00e1rios segmentos, sobretudo comerciando velas em um pa\u00eds atrasado, onde a energia el\u00e9trica ficou t\u00e3o cara que a popula\u00e7\u00e3o j\u00e1 n\u00e3o consegue mais pagar por ela. Ao lado de seu empregado-pupilo Abelardo II, ele se aproveita da crise econ\u00f4mica para emprestar dinheiro, com juros alt\u00edssimos, para o povo faminto.<\/p>\n

Abelardo I tem um casamento convenientemente negociado com Helo\u00edsa de Lesbos (personagem de Camila Turin), filha de uma fam\u00edlia falida e tradicional de latifundi\u00e1rios do caf\u00e9. Submisso ao capital internacional, o protagonista est\u00e1 disposto a fazer qualquer tipo de neg\u00f3cio com os americanos, sem pensar nas consequ\u00eancias dessas transa\u00e7\u00f5es. Esse sistema de explora\u00e7\u00e3o que ele ajudou a construir acabar\u00e1 deglutindo-o no \u00faltimo ato da pe\u00e7a, quando ele \u00e9 substitu\u00eddo por seu fiel criado.<\/p>\n

\u201cA trama consegue tra\u00e7ar mais do que uma linha de tempo da transforma\u00e7\u00e3o da sociedade brasileira no in\u00edcio do s\u00e9culo passado \u2013 de um Brasil medieval e colonizado para um pa\u00eds urbano, dominado pelo capitalismo e pretensamente liberto. Ela perfaz um arco dram\u00e1tico que escancara as inten\u00e7\u00f5es sociais e pol\u00edticas das personagens que percorrem os tr\u00eas atos da pe\u00e7a para revelar os meandros da alma humana submetida aos jogos de domina\u00e7\u00e3o do poder\u201d, acrescenta Possolo.<\/p>\n

O novo olhar para o texto modernista, que mostra como a coloniza\u00e7\u00e3o sem limites, escravagista e patriarcal marcou a nossa cultura e o comportamento social, possibilita que pensemos melhor em nosso futuro como na\u00e7\u00e3o. Para isso, a trupe estudou a fundo os movimentos antrop\u00f3fago e tropicalista.<\/p>\n

SINOPSE<\/strong>
\nConhecido como o Rei da Vela, o inescrupuloso empres\u00e1rio Abelardo I aproveita-se da crise econ\u00f4mica no pa\u00eds para emprestar dinheiro para a popula\u00e7\u00e3o faminta com juros alt\u00edssimos. Ele se casou com Helo\u00edsa de Lesbos, filha de latifundi\u00e1rios falidos do caf\u00e9, s\u00f3 para se aproveitar do nome da fam\u00edlia quatrocentona. Submisso ao capital estrangeiro, Abelardo I topa qualquer neg\u00f3cio com os americanos para aumentar seu lucro, mas ele ser\u00e1 engolido pelo pr\u00f3prio sistema que ajudou a criar e substitu\u00eddo pelo seu capacho empregado Abelardo II.<\/p>\n
